Sim-poze-em
Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art
28 April 2010
A day-long installation and performance event with artists Ruth Barker, Martine Myrup and Kathryn Elkin.
For Sim-poze-em I punctuated the itinerary of the day by reciting short observations of etiquette, objects and people. Each sequence of observations was choreographed with hand gestures and accompanied by electroacoustic music.
The performances concluded with Gÿorgy Ligeti’s score Continuum being performed on a harpsichord found in the Jeffrey Library.
Electroacoustic composition by Nichola Scrutton.
Harpsichord played by Sage Pierce-Higgins.
Performed by Sarah Tripp
