The Dancers Inherit the Party is a limited edition, loose leaf folio describing a hypothetical programme of performances. The folio takes its title from a poem by the artist Ian Hamilton Finlay published before he became associated with the concrete poetry movement.

The folio contains hypothetical performances by: Maria Fusco, Suzanne van der Lingen, Chloe Reid, Aman Sandhu, Richard Taylor, Rebecca Wilcox and Brighton Upton Trust with details from Finlay’s publication.

The folio presents the programme as it emerged from a research residency supported by the Little Sparta Trust. The residency provided access to Ian Hamilton Finlay’s archives and his garden artwork Little Sparta.

The programme unfolds in the Poet’s Corner, a Victorian library in Glasgow’s city centre, which has fallen into disuse. Here is the Dancers Inherit the Party folio.

The Dancers Inherit the Party was supported by the Little Sparta Trust
