This festival profiled the proliferation of art, writing and journal publishing in Glasgow. The festival comprised of an exhibition, a Glasgow journals launch event and a book fair. The exhibition focused on the crossovers between art and writing practice. Exhibiting artists included: Susan Brind and Jim Harold, Ruth Buchanan, Kathryn Elkin, Paul Elliman, Charlotte Prodger and Rebecca Wilcox.
The Glasgow based journals launched were: 2HB, Dancehall, Gnommero, Marbled Reams, Uncle Chop Chop and Victor & Hester. The book fair was designed by artist Ciara Phillips and exhibitors included: Automatic Books, Book Works, Ditto Press, Motto Distribution and Mousse.
For the festival, we gathered together materials made by the 35 artists, writers, publishers and organisations featured in the festival and published them in the What We Make With Words Guide.
