Sound is evoked but withheld in this silent 16mm film showing the performance artist Ruth Barker rehearsing. Listening is metaphorically taken apart as an anatomical model of an ear is disassembled. Ruth’s mouthed shapes are then mistranslated through intertitles before the ear is reassembled again.
